Worrying about if Melo will sign or not is valid, or even K-Mart's knees or J.R.'s brain farts. But what this team really needs to look at is the coaching staff. Nobody here would give a nickel for the assistant coaches on the current staff (except as assistant coaches). I think we all believed the 2010 WCF was the Nugs Vs the Lakers, until cancer. The Nugs current head coach is 60 and has had cancer twice. He has not fully recovered yet from the last round of chemo. I've seen chemo - I'd rather give birth thru my dick. GK is a very good head coach, but has had cancer twice, and recovering from chemo is hard at 20, let alone 60. If I owned a team and the hearts of a fan base, I'd have a hard time trusting this to a coach with this current health and health record. Does Melo even trust this coaching staff? If I'm a Kroenke, I'd believe I have two options:

1) Make Karl sign a valid head assistant, like ex-Cavs Brown

2) Fire Karl and get a head coarch who has a better chance of being there tomorrow and the last day of the season.

This is a business (like the free-agent players and owners always say), and I want the best possibility my team can have for a championship every year.

Sorry for the harsh reality check, and I sincerely wish GK a full recovery (my Dad died of cancer). But...
