Nuggets make qualifying offer to Linas Keiza

The Nuggets are trying to bring back forward Linas Kleiza, who played last season in Greece.

Denver, which owns Kleiza's NBA rights, has extended a qualifying offer to Kleiza. Terms of the offer were not released.

Kleiza, a 6-foot-8, 245-pound forward, left the Nuggets a year ago to play for Olympiakos, for whom he signed a two-year, $12.2 million contract. He averaged 17.1 points per game this past season.

In four seasons with the Nuggets, Kleiza averaged 8.3 points per game and 3.5 rebounds.

This was from the Denver Post.

This is good and bad. One of the problems we had last year was consistent bench scoring. While LK wasn't exactly "consistent" (because of various factors including having and extension withdrawn) and was a headcase his last year, but he did score and provided at least another "threat" and was a great backup to Melo.

Not sure if he will accept this offer if the Nuggets lowball. What does everyone think?
