Im lying, I am in distress, how could i not be? After watching the game last night, I thought about the journey this Nuggets team has been on. Sure we have lost the najera's, the kleiza's and the dahntay's, but this team has generally been the same throughout the years. i thought about how even though they kept getting knocked out of the first round, I remained a fan. i kept on defending them when my buddies would say they were nothing but a better version of the golden state warriors. I was talking to my math professor after class, (small school), and I asked if he was going to watch the Nuggets game. Its sure to be a good one man, they are tied up 1-1!!! He told me, Ricky, You want to know why i dont watch NBA basketball? I shrugged, and let him speak. he told me 1. The refs dont let them play any got DAM basketball! He then said, also, most of the time, it seems like its all fixed and marketing. I told him he was sounding like a conspiracy junkie, and he said, well, thats just my 2 cents, you dont see that in college basketball. i then asked him if he thought the nuggets could go far in this years playoffs. he said they could do it, but it would be tough. Like other analysts and people generally, he explained to me that last year was they year where everything just seemed to go right for our squad, and that it would be tough to repeat this year...heck last year we were expecting a 1st round exit, again!! He said he would watch,though, and he also let me know the nuggets need george karl the most right now, as if i didnt know, and i left. With yesterday's loss, let me see, what am i trying to get at.... Well, we cant give up. We meaning our team and us, the fans. No one says winning a championship is a cakewalk, there is going to be hurdles on the way, and its going to be a challenge for the nuggets to get over them, but they can do it. Let's believe that the team we love to watch, the team we love to see win, can get that golden basketball this year. Let's support our team, not say, well its over, because if we get this next win...we got the next game at the can and we know the monster that is unleashed in denver. We know what can happen when j.r gets going.
Some other notes to the fans... Can we please give Adrian Dantley a break? the man is trying to get this denver squad on top. yes, I know he is different from Karl, and he needs to bark more, but, cmon, just support. Also, I can and will blame the refs for some of our play. it is ridiculous how many offensive fous they call on melo. SHEESHINGTON!!!! As for Billups, i agree, i think he should be resting some more, but lets try and give the veteran a chance to knock some sense to our players and get them back on track... there's my venting, oh, wait one more thing... Why do I hate Utah so dam much? Seriously, Korver is ridiculously ugly, i wish J.R or Melo would suckerpunch him...and Jerry Sloan....ugh, stop bitching! This Fesenko guy is really angering me as well. im wondering why KMART doesnt just shove him like he did to dirk last season. You see, to advance, win, or get anywhere in the playoffs this year, we are going to need to do just that. get physical, and bring up the energy level. the talent is there, the motive just isnt. LETS GO NUGGETS!!!
