Adrian Dantley

I wish my first FanPost could be a little more positive. But long story short: this guy is horrible. Is there anything he can do right? I can count the amount of "good" wins this team has had since he took over on one hand. Conversely, there have been an absurd number of bad games, tonight's game included.

Where to start? His rotations are awful. I don't want anyone to make any more excuses for Anthony Carter. He sucks, and that's the bottom line. He's done absolutely nothing of note to get the PT he's getting. Chauncey Billups continues to play a ridiculous amount of minutes, sometimes even playing whole quarters. Meanwhile, the brilliant rookie mismatch that we have continues to sit on the bench until the game is out of reach. That's just scratching the surface. Other mindboggling rotation errors include subbing Carmelo Anthony at the start of the 4th quarter when offense is badly needed, not giving Johan Petro enough time despite him playing extremely well and instead giving those minutes to a certain waste of a 6'10 body, and playing this certain waste of a 6'10 body at crucial times, sometimes in combination with AC.

There's the refs issue. This idiot continues to let the refs work the living crap out of the team. Once in a blue moon he'll try to speak to them, but he won't even do much. He'll speak to them for about a minute of two and then go sit back down, devoid of emotion whilst doing so. Meanwhile, he watches his players go out there and get their asses kicked, not saying a word and letting them get the Ts instead of him. It would be greatly appreciated if he would at least stand up for his players ONCE instead of just sitting on his hands, but nope, he's perfectly content with just speaking calmly to the ref and going back and sitting down.

He makes no adjustments. The team goes out there and does the same stupid bs that gets it into trouble. Iso-ball, lazy defense and rebounding, you name it. He doesn't call TOs when they're needed; by the time he does, the damage is already done. He doesn't get this team prepared; how the hell do you lose twice to teams coming off back-to-backs coming into your building?

There's so many issues here. I could keep rambling on, but it's pointless. He's already put this team in a horrible position where it's having to fight for its lives just to get homecourt and avoid being in the same bracket as the Lakers. He might as well just step aside now and let some of the other coaching staff take over, because I doubt they could do much worse than he's done.
