After reading this story from Chris Tomasson (Link here: http://nba.fanhouse.com/2010/12/21/nuggets-to-observe-carmelo-anthony-with-full-cast-nets-not-idea/) . It looks like the Nuggets front office wants to see how our team plays with all our players back for a while before deciding what to do with Melo. I guess they think if we get hot Melo will decide to sign the Ext. If not then they will finally decide to trade him. I do not think that melo will sign either way. I feel if he wanted to sign here he would have already but what do I know. Maybe if we do get really hot and takeover first in the Division he will decide Denver is the best place for him (I hope this happens). Who knows but I guess we will find out in the next few weeks.

The story also says Melo does not want to go NJ. Plus it also says that they think Melo can not be convinced to go to NJ. I guess there goes Favors even though I never thought Melo would sign with NJ. So it looks like it is gonna be New York or another team that will trade for Melo even without the Ext.
