Magic/Suns/Wizards trades ...

Wondering what you Stiffs think about the trades that went down over the weekend ...

Appears the Magic went smaller in an attempt to match up with the Heat for some reason by getting rid of Marcin Gortat and Rashard Lewis. Although Lewis doesn't play like a big and Gortat played limited minutes as Dwight Howard's backup.

Anyway ... the trades:

Orlando received:
Gilbert Arenas (from Washington)
Hedo Turkoglu (from Suns)
Jason Richardson (from Suns)
Earl Clark (from Suns)

Washington received:
Rashard Lewis (from Orlando)

Phoenix received:
Marcin Gortat (from Orlando)
Mickael Pietrus (from Orlando)
Vince Carter (from Orlando)

What did the Magic do? Better? Worse? No change? I think Orlando got worse, and they didn't really seem to need to do the Phoenix deal after getting Arenas ... weird trade for them to get rid of their PF (although Lewis had no power) and their backup Center that allowed them to twin-tower it with Gortat and Howard on the floor together.

What did the Suns do? Better? Worse? No change? Phoenix got Pietrus ... another former Warrior guy who can play in their system, nice move getting a big like Gortat as an asset or a quality big, and V.C.'s contract comes off the books after the season.

Washington ... they just paved the way for John Wall and swapped a big contract for a big contract.
