two unrelated thoughts

1.) I can't get excited about the possibility of a trade with Jersey because I don't get how Favors fits in. I don't think there is room for him in the front court with Nene, Bird, Harrington and Kmart. Maybe Kmart won't be back, but why not? He'll be inexpensive and when healthy, he is at worst a very solid PF. What we really will need is a wing to fill the scoring void that Melo leaves.

So, who could we flip Favors to and instead get a wing who can fill it up? I thought of James Harden. OKC could use a player like Favors and Harden needs a bigger role than OKC can provide. Any other ideas?

2.) Everyone assumes that a dominate 7 footer is the missing link. Who out there would actually improve the existing front court rotation? Between Nene, Harrington, Kmart, and Birdman our front court is actually pretty good and multi-dimensional (when healthy). Name me a big man that isn't untouchable that would provide an obvious upgrade? The only names that come to mind are Marc Gasol and Perkins. Sorry Dalembert doesn't fit that description for me, neither does Biedrins.
