What I Think Should Happen...

I think be this point in the training camp and with a lack of good trade offers for Melo, the Nuggets should and probably will hold on to Melo for the season. And they will try their best to contend and go as deep as possible into the playoffs this year.

If we go far enough we should convince Melo to stay, as well with completing this off-season transactions.

Sign Marc Gasol. Extend Nene. Extend AA. Extend Ty.

And create a future starting line-up of:

Marc Gasol - C, Nene - PF, Melo - SF, AAA - SG & Chauncey (soon to be Ty) - PG.

And off the Bench:

Al - PF, Gary Forbes (SIGN HIM NOW!) - SF/SG, - J.R. - SG, Ty - PG & Sheldon - C/PF.

Marc Gasol should be a (close) replica of Pau. And can be a great starting Center for years to come.

Nene will be a beast and an All-Star caliber player at the 4.

Melo will be Melo.

Arron will continue to improve for years to come and solidify the starting 2 position.

Chauncey will lead and Ty will take over the team by leading by voice and example as he will continue to improve.

Al will score and score and score and score & play DEFENSE!

Gary Forbes can either take over the J.R. role if he leaves or become a great 6th, 7th, 8th man or maybe even take over Arron's starting spot if he turns out to be as good as I think he will be.

Sheldon is going to be good this year and hopefully for years after that, He will be demolishing the competition at what he made his name doing, Rebounding & Defending.

J.R. will be J.R., but most likely smarter and safer, doing what he does best. Fill it up.

This team could easily contend for years and ruin Miami's dreams.

If anyone has read Melo's recent comment's about the Net's and Marketability, they should have figured out that while he is interested in being marketed better/bigger, he knows that good marketing comes from winning & I strongly feel that the Nuggets just need to do these things (or something similar) to keep Melo and continue to terrorize every opposing team.
