To keep it short: J.R. Smith + Johan Petro for J.J. Redick and Marcin Gortat. The Nuggets pick up the proven C they so desperately need and add a capable backup shooting guard in J.J. Redick, while the Magic get J.R.'s 3 point shot and filler in Petro. It's not like the Magic are hurting for centers anyway, at the very least, they'd still have Howard, Foyle, and Petro, to speak nothing of Bass who still languishes on the bench.
New rotations:
PG: Chauncey/Lawson
SG: Afflalo/Reddick
SF: Melo/Graham
PF: Nene/Kenyon
C: Gortat/Andersen
It works via the ESPN trade machine. Thoughts?
Okay, so maybe Gortat isn't necessarily the "proven C" that I've made him out to be looking at his numbers, but he IS young (and big), and Redick is a capable 3P shooter at 41% from 3.
