Everything is Horrible (League involvement?)

Let me give you a background before I tell you why this is horrible officiating.  I probably watch more MLB, college baseball, NHL, college hockey and college basketball than the NBA. I have been watching the Stanley Cup playoffs because they are so exciting, even though the Avs were terrible this year.

With the Nuggets being the hot thing in town and the city behind them, I figured I might as well catch a few games of the Conference Finals.    I usually do not watch the NBA because the officials and league have so much influence on the game and results.

Listening to the radio driving home, I heard that Gasol and Phil Jackson complained about the officiating the game before this one and the NBA fixed it for this game.  Then to see the box score and final results about how lopsided it was called.  I just had to post.

As long as David Stern is in control of the NBA, the NBA will continue to be a joke to people like me.  The NBA will lose fans because of the blatant favoritism.

Watching ESPN has been a joke.  Even with a tie game and the game very in doubt, ESPN kept telling people how the Lakers were so much better than the Nuggets.  I could not believe what I was hearing.  I know that blatant favoritism happens in the NBA, but I could not believe how bad it was.  You would think it was a Lakers only show produced for the national television.

This might be the last Conference Finals of the NBA I ever watch.  Until the NBA cleans up their act, they will continue to be a joke. NBA = WWE

Things I recommend.

1. Flopping calls and technicals (like NHL)

2. Zero tolerance on complaining to the officials (like NHL)

3. End blatant favoritism for one team over the other.  Listening to ESPN you would think that Kobe and Lakers were the greatest thing since sliced bread.

4. Scrutiny of officials (shouldn't this be mandatory?)
