I was going to write this in a follow up comment on the suns/nugz recap thread but I think its something that should be said where everyone can see it.  I have a proposal for a new number 1 on the stiff list

Us.

More precisely our negativity.  I'm not so much saying we are stiffs for being negative about our team (though some people do get a little carried away...you know who you are) but we belong on the stiff list for our negativity towards each other.  Now I'm not saying we need to all agree, far from it.  Disagreements are what create a rich dialogue and good debate which are constructive.  However, the personal attacks, the name calling, the blatant "I disagree with you but rather then state my point I think i'll just call you an idiot/moron/failure" are very destructive.  They don't do anything positive, they only create anger and hostility which not only makes the people who are writing comments become discouraged but also those who are reading them.  We've already had full blown comment fighting (again you know who you are) and allegations of threatening to threaten.  The negativity towards our FELLOW fans needs to stop.  We are all guilty of it, myself included.  So I will start right now by apologizing to all those who I may have offended and one specifically: I'm sorry Tknuckle, I don't mean to call you undevoted or not a fan, i'm just not as pessimistic but my comment the other day was unwarranted and destructive and for that I was wrong.

See, its easy.  Besides, save our hate for fans who deserve it, fans who really suck, fans who make your blood boil with their blatant homerism.  Save our hate for the Lakers fans and Sean Elliot.
