A difficult place to live.

As you might know, I'm from Spain, where Pau Gasol is almost a god. The knowledge about NBA is very short here, and people only knows something about the Celtics, and... yes, you guessed it, the Lakers.

People is very passionate about sports in Europe, and so is the people when it comes to Pau Gasol, the idol, the best player in basketball history for many of them(no joke). I've been hearing that Pau should be starting in front of Melo in this year All-Star. I've been hearing that Pau is a better player than Kobe, and it's really hard for a hardcore NBA fan like me to put up with these trash talk.
Being a Denver Nuggets fan and cheering for the Nuggets when they play against L.A is a sin, almost nobody here knows the Denver Nuggets and how good players like J.R and Nenê are.

They think it is really odd to be a fan of the Nuggets knowing that I do not have any common link to the city of Denver, and they think I should always cheer for the spanish player, no matter who he plays against.
I am obviously happy about Gasol being the first spanish player to ever win an NBA ring, don't get me wrong, but all the people around me know that I'd prefer those "black strangers" from Denver to be the current NBA champions.

I thought this point of view about the NBA in foreing countries could be intersting for you, please share all the thoughts you want about it, and, if you could, GIVE ME A REASON TO CONVINCE MY FRIENDS TO CHEER FOR DENVER!
