This is a mini-feature that higgyhoops12 started, but since nobody has seemed to continue it, I will (as I don't feel like finishing the massive pile of homework on my desk).
I'll use stats from basketball-reference.com (the direct link is http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/200910290POR.html), as that site is usually my first stop if I want to find some stats.
Anthony Carter got yet another start and played 22:56, while Lawson played 17:01.
Here is the stat-table that took me a lot longer to do than it should have:

As you can see, they ended up with similar stats, except AC got more rebounds, and (NOT SURPRISINGLY) also got more turnovers, 1-0, and fouls, 2-1. Anthony Carter didn't do as well from the field, and he should have done worse; the 20% three-point shooter actually made 1-2 on his three-point attempts, while Lawson kept to the high-percentage shots.
What we can get from this game is this: neither should have started against a large Blazers lineup, but Lawson should have at least gotten the same number of minutes as Anthony Carter, as he is a more efficient player. George Karl is still a bit uneasy with Lawson, though. Maybe he'll play Lawson more if Lawson shows up in his Tar-Heels jersey...Haha.
Update: Does anybody else think that Lawson is a bit like Jose Juan Barea?
