Interesting A.I. article ...

A very interesting article on Allen Iverson today by Scott Cacciola of The Commercial Appeal (Memphis, TN).

Some great quotes from A.I., former owners, coaches, and Eric Sebastian (former Nuggets director of Media Relations) the director of basketball operations at the University of Memphis.

Sebastian's tale in the story:

Eric Sebastian, the director of basketball operations at the University of Memphis, was the director of media relations for the Denver Nuggets when Iverson was with the team, and he recalled watching Iverson at practice one day. Here was a player who had scored more than 20,000 career points -- and he could not finish with his left hand. Sebastian shared this insight with coach George Karl, who proceeded to share it with Iverson.

"I know, man," Iverson said with a laugh. "I'm terrible."

Iverson has always intrigued me as a player ... his rumored off court tales mixed with ruthless play on the court. A once in a generation type of player. Whether you love him or hate him ... he's a fascinating person.

I've always heard how good A.I. was at football in high school ... you can even YouTube some of his highlights. They say he was Micheal Vick before Vick (sans the dog fighting) ... there is even a reference to that in the story.
