I am new to Pickaxe and Roll coming by way of sister site THE MILE HIGH REPORT.  Being a dispalced Nuggies fan in the middle of Laker (ugh!) nation, I thought I'd see what the reaction to the AI/Billups/McDyess trade was...  However something caught my eye...

What's with the "A Safe Place for Denver Nugget's Fans" in the header bar?

Are other sites intollerant and discriminatory against the Nuggies and their fans?  Is harm due to those that root for the powder blue and yellow?  Is there a need to equate my nuggies fanhood with victims of spousal abuse, FBI informants, and recovering drug addicts by providing me a "safe place" to share my thoughts and feelings?  Are we conducting a mens group here?  May I have the talking stick for just a moment?  May I suggest we change the header bar to something that doesn't make me think that when I join the site I'm going to get a hot cup of coco, a cot and a clean blankie for the night?

As I stated, I'm a Nuggie fan through and through (lost $20 to the guy installing tile in my house when I bet on the Nuggies against LA int the playoffs last year) and I am proud to stand up to even the most obnoxious Laker fans...  Nugget fans are a proud people.  Keep the "safe place" as a sacred spot where we keep the Victorias Secret catalog after the wife's long done with it.
